There used to be a Walmart located at 12 Mile Rd & Van Dyke in Warren, MI. Walmart shut the store down and moved it to another part of the city. As a result, the plaza that the store was in is now mostly vacant (there are a few small stores further down out of the camera shot, but they don't get much business) and allegedly attracts rats. Walmart is also apparently refusing to allow anyone to develop the vacant property into something that will offer jobs and generate more business for that part of the city. The mayor of Warren has tried to wage a war against Walmart in the press. I'm sure Walmart could care less.
I take pictures frequently, usually with my camera phone. My hope is to take a picture of something each day and post it here (yes, I know, just like everyone else). It might be a picture of something that I find to be interesting, pretty, funny, bizarre, or just something totally random. Let's see how this goes...
